Prosecuting
Attorney Case Management |

|
The Prosecuting
Attorney Case Management (PACM) system is designed to
assist Prosecutor or District Attorney offices effectively track
and report case information. Screens with PACM have been
designed to be easy to use and follow, yet provide all of the
information that you require to monitor your caseload.
PACM can even be used as an intelligence gathering tool to
accumulate information on suspects or potential defendants.
The most significant feature of PACM is its powerful
inquiry. The inquiry allows you to locate case
information by defendant name, victim or witness name, case
number, court date, action due date, alias name, or court case
number. Once a case has been located, all of the case
information is readily accessible, no matter what search method
was used to originally locate it.

FEATURES OF PACM

PACM shares
the defendant file with BCPS and COR, so once a defendant
is known to your office you never have to enter them again.
The only information required to open a case record is a defendant
name. All other information can be added/updated to
the case as it becomes available.
Tracks up to 4 charge codes with up
to 99 counts each for each case.
Stores and tracks victim/witness
information for each case. Remember that the
inquiry can locate cases by victim/witness name, so that when
the witness calls to find out when they're going to be needed
for court, but they don't remember the defendant's name, you can
find the case using the witness's name.
Inquire by any number of
methods: Defendant Name; Case Number;
Victim/Witness Name; Court Date; Action Date;
or Alias Name.
Print a complete Case History Report,
including all memos and victim/witnesses with a single keystroke
from the inquiry screen.
Track case information such as: Court ID;
Judge; Prosecutor; Defense Attorney; Case
Worker; Submitting Agency; Submitting Officer;
and others.
Entry of court date allows for the printing of a Court
Docket (by selected date).
Free form entry of memos about the
defendant. These memos appear on the case inquiry and
print on the Case History report.
Track Probation information.
Track Disposition information.
An Action Due inquiry and report
provides a list of cases that require your attention. A
kind of "tickler" list.
Merge case data information into
MS-Word (r) or WordPerfect (r) documents by using a function key
on the inquiry screen. This allows you to prepare unlimited
documents by merging data from the case records into
prepared document templates.
All master files in PACM are in .dbf
file format, so that they can easily be imported into
other applications, such as MS-Excel (r), MS-Access (r),
etc. if you wish.
